GROUND TRANSPORT SHIPPING

• If we are transporting your hedgehog through out of state door-to-door ground transport, the shipping payment will be due when we book the transportation. This is necessary in order for us to schedule the transport with a trusted USDA-certified transporter. We cannot provide you with a delivery date until the transporter does though there are routes that generally travel through states once or twice a month. Inclement weather and/or traffic can alter the date of your hedgehog delivery.

• You will need to make yourself available on the date and time the transporter provides. They will keep you updated to their progress with live updates on their Facebook Page. 

• Only the person listed on the invoice will be permitted to sign for the animal. Arrangements can be made for another authorized receiver at least 18 years of age and with an ID prior to shipment of your animal with ADVANCED notice.

• Please note that the transportation process of any animal can be a very stressful event. We have no control over what happens once the hedgehog leaves our care and during transport. This is the reason we use only trusted USDA-certified transporters. If you choose the door-to-door ground transport option, it is at your own risk.
